Clinic Policies

Booking an appointment means you have read and agreed to the following policy. 

Thank you for trusting your health to TAO – we appreciate your business. A treatment appointment at our clinic is viewed as a commitment between the therapist and patient. We respect your time and ask you to do the same for ours.

While we understand that situations come up and emergencies happen, we do not double-book the schedule and late cancellations and missed appointments greatly impact our business. Thank you for understanding.

  • TAO Medicine is a private provider of health services. Treatment is provided via prearranged, scheduled appointments.

    Practitioners have limited availability for contact outside of schedule appointments. Practitioners may not have an opportunity to respond to between session contact prior to your next appointment so this should not be relied upon for emergency matters. For emergency matters please contact the appropriate agencies.

    TAO Medicine practitioners will only provide services that are within their professional capabilities, competence and role as a private provider of these services. If treatment needs are identified that are outside of this scope your practitioner will endeavour to assist you identify alternative suitable providers.

    TAO Medicine is not an emergency service. We are not able to respond to urgent or emergency matters and our communication channels (Phone, WhatsApp, Email) are not monitored outside of standard business hours.

  • We REQUEST 48 hours’ notice for all rescheduled appointments and cancellations; due to the nature of our business we REQUIRE 24 hours’ notice in order to not accrue a forfeiture fee.

    If 24 hour’s notification is not given, you will be charged the full amount of your scheduled service for the missed appointment.

  • You can reschedule or cancel your booked appointment minimum of 24 hours’ before the scheduled appointment.

    To cancel or reschedule an appointment, use our Online Booking System or contact us directly.

  • Buying a treatment package will save you money and help to maintain continued treatments.

    All treatment package sales are final and each package has a validation period, depending on the number of sessions in the package:

    3 sessions: 3 months
    6 sessions: 6 months
    9 sessions: 9 months

    If you miss or cancel an appointment less than 24 hours’ before the session, you will not be refunded for the missed session.

  • If you are a returning patient and 6 months has passed since your last appointment, another initial appointment is required.

    As we have not seen you in a while, we need to reexamine your full set of signs and symptoms to assess your current condition. As a special thank you for returning as a patient, this consultation is eligible for a 10% discount of the initial consultation rate.

    For patients who have already been to our clinic and would like to try another modality, an initial consultation for that modality must take place prior to booking any follow-up appointments. This way, we can gain a full understanding of your condition and provide the highest quality care possible.

  • While we make every effort to make our customers as happy as possible, all service sales are final. We are a small business and unfortunately cannot offer refunds on any used or unused appointments/sessions for individual services or service packages.
